Neil deGrasse Tyson Picks Apart The Science Of Upcoming Sci-Fi Blockbusters

“I used to lose sleep over this.”

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has cast a critical eye over some soon-to-be-released sci-fi movies, and he’s not all that impressed with what he sees.

For Friday’s broadcast of the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the scientist lightheartedly dissected some of the more questionable science behind the plot lines of “Alien: Covenant” and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

“I used to lose sleep over this,” he said, talking about movies getting their scientific aspects wrong. Despite it’s non sci-fi nature, he also had some views on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s performance in the upcoming “Baywatch” movie.
